Surprise Engagement at The Sanctuary Resort on Kiawah Island
I love surprises and when Chad asked me to photograph his proposal I was thrilled. We worked out a plan for me to be incognito with a long-lens on the beach behind The Sanctuary Resort on Kiawah Island. Part of the plan to get Natalie to The Sanctuary was a dinner reservation…with Chad’s parents. The only issue was his parents didn’t take the initial hint that Chad wanted to be “left alone” with Natalie for a walk on the beach before dinner. ALL FOUR of them walked down the boardwalk together. Can you imagine…I wonder what Chad actually had to say to his parents to get rid of them? Too funny. In the end…Natalie said YES and we had an amazing portrait session with a beautiful couple, lot’s of love, and perfect weather.
