Things To Do

For the Active Ones

The OCean Course Golf Course on Kiawah Island

  • Boat Tours – Between photography cruises, dolphin encounters, river cruises and more, you can find the perfect boat tour that fits your families interests the best!
  • Recreation – Kayaking, SUP Boards – rent or take a tour around the many waterways on Kiawah Island. If you are lucky, you could have some dolphins join you as you make your way through the island.
  • Golf – Kiawah has so many beautiful golf courses on the island. The Ocean Course is one of our favorites, and located at the far end of the island, but there are a number of other courses that you can take a swing at as well.
  • Tennis – enjoy tennis with your family or take a class or two during your stay.
  • Walking/Biking Trails – with 30 miles of trails you can enjoy a nice stroll on the island and you might just see some amazing wildlife along the way.
  • Fitness Center – while staying at the resort, enjoy their facilities and a class or two that is available while you are there. From yoga to pilates, weight training and more there is something for anyone to enjoy.
  • Beach – this is an obvious one, but also something that can’t be left out. Plan a picnic, rent some beach chairs and spend the day splashing away and enjoying some sun rays. For Your Artistic Side

Try your hand at some of the arts and crafts classes available at The Sanctuary and check out events while you are there. In summer months (as well as others) there are so many fun things to try and experience. Like live music and dancing, creative workshops and more. You can also take a look at some of the fine art galleries on the island (like this one) with many amazing pieces created by local and renowned artists.

  • Turtle’s Nest Art Studio – a wide range of classes from wood sign design, to canvas painting and classes for the kids you can participate in a wide range of arts and crafts.

To Wind Down

  • The Spa at The Sanctuary – get a massage, a facial, or spend the day in the spa to wind down and relax.

For the Kiddos

  • Night Heron Park – with pools (available only for guests staying with KIGR), trails, and playgrounds the kiddos can easily get out their energy here.
  • Kamp Kiawah – this seasonal camp for kids 3-7 is a fun experience for your young adventurers.
  • Camp Xtreme and Adventure Camp – so you can send all of your kids, there are also two different options for kids ages 8-15.

Here are some places to eat at while vacationing at Kiawah. These places are all owned by the resort. If you are looking for high end options, check out The Atlantic Room and The Ocean Room. But you cannot go wrong with any of these amazing options! The resort also has a shuttle, so you can easily make reservations and make your way to all of these locations with ease.
