This was not a bad way to spend the day. The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island is one of my favorite golf courses. It was home to the 1991 Rider Cup and the 2012 PGA Championship, and will be home to the PGA Championship again in 2021. The Ocean Course attracts people from all over the country (and even the world), and is home to many different parties, events and more. And it’s no wonder. Located at the end of the island you get beautiful beach and marsh views making every hole a scenic experience.
Event Photography on Kiawah Island
We had the opportunity to photograph an event here last week. Our time was spent photographing small groups as they golfed and then at the clubhouse for candid and social images enjoying good company, food and drinks. We also wanted to give the group some landscape photography from around The Ocean Course so that they could take a piece of Kiawah back home. It was a great way to mix our love for landscape photography with events once again! And how stunning would that sunset photo be in someones home or office?!
It was a wonderful sunny day in the middle of October for this event. October is a wonderful time to come and visit Kiawah! The weather has started to cool down and there is less humidity in the air, which makes it the perfect weather to golf, enjoy the beach and spend time in the great outdoors. Unlike most summer days where all you want to be is in the water or inside. Southern summers are no joke!
